Melanin ID magazine is Glamour, Fashion and Beauty on the Black Woman. It was created in 2019 by Ali Yalo who is a fashion photographer. The project took a year to set up and came to life in July 2020 with the creation of our website..
Melanin ID magazine was created to empower the black woman who is both beautiful and attractive and intelligent; beautiful inside and outside without worrying about prejudice. Melanin ID magazine’s mission is to propel talented black women into role models for the younger generation to identify with.
So we want to create a powerful platform that will connect young black women with role models by creating quality content such as photo shoots, interviews, video lookbooks, podcasts and talk shows… that are in high demand among the digital native generation.
At Melanin ID Magazine we believe that within 10-15 years the world will be dominated by beautiful, charismatic and intelligent black women. Melanin ID Magazine will contribute the essence of these role models who will become DIVAS.
