Our Ambition
The Melanin ID magazine provides a high quality platform for creative professionals to be connected, published and recognized worldwide.
Each application is carefully reviewed and a few creatives are selected for an interview and feature in the magazine.
Our ambition is to spread our content and our magazine throughout the African diaspora. This allows our star photographers and videographers to have the opportunity to be recognized worldwide through their work.

All images must be final retouched images. (NO FILTERS ACCEPTED)
Include Instagram usernames of all participants.
Include full photo, designer and model / agency credits and necessary documents that prove the right to distribute the images and other content.
All submissions must be either owned by the submitter or accompanied by a permission/photo release form from the photographer/owner that owns the copyright to the images.
Once a submission is accepted by Melanin ID Magazine, it must not be published in any other magazine, website, blog and Social Media networks.
Once an image is accepted to be published, it grants us the permission to use your work in any of our publications, websites, videos, marketing pieces, advertisements, and any other mediums or formats used in the creation, dissemination, and monetization of Melanin ID Magazine.
If you have any behind the scenes (BTS) video, please also send us a link to your video (via Google Drive, Dropbox or any other storage cloud service) and we’ll be happy to share them in our social media feeds (in IGTV, IG Story, IG Reels, YouTube Video etc.).
